With an asset monitoring system, you can monitor your assets and improve their performance. It’s about predicting breakdowns, but also about reducing energy consumption, improving quality of your products, reducing scrap, increasing stability, and even letting your assets operate without human supervision. Implementing an asset monitoring system requires a thorough analysis of your goals and assets, reliable sensors, an intelligent platform, and good follow-up.

17:15Asset Performance Management versus SafetyAn aging asset base is a main trend in the Maintenance sector. Aging assets bring both opportunities and risks. On the one hand, it is relatively advantageous to let the assets that have been written off continue to run for as long as possible without making major investments. This can generate money, which is why the focus will soon be on keeping the existing (capital intensive) assets operational for as long as possible. On the other hand, obsolete assets bring a number of disadvantages. In general, obsolete assets are less efficient, less reliable, less 'green' and perhaps even less safe.

10:30Leap into the Industrial MetaverseThere is an enormous buzz around the metaverse with tales of fully virtual spaces mimicking real life and extending it via games or online collaboration. Taking a closer look though, the metaverse does not seem to offer much for businesses from the industrial space. It is so far leaving out people that are already solving real-world problems across industries and processes. TeamViewer strongly believes in a continuous convergence between the physical world and technology in general. So, it is way beyond time to leap into the "industrial metaverse” and redefine frontline work in the 21st century - with the help of AR solutions and the power of AI.

17:15Human Factor; Opportunities instead of ProblemsThe Maintenance workforce has grown again this year. However, there are challenges facing the sector. For example, the increasing ageing of the population is causing a high average age (46 years), an increase in the number of vacancies (15 vacancies per maintenance organisation) and an increase in the outflow (8.9%). Of the outflow, a large group (43.5%) leaves the organisation because of retirement.
